While the whole idea is brilliant (in both cases), the crowds of ants (including ant in the case of xml) tore it into the pieces digestible by their mediocre minds. Mostly introducing "type checking" and "validation" for the free form data. Censorship, that is.

полностью согласен, да. для типизированных данных существуют реляционки, намного более скоростные бинарные сериализаторы, ASN.1, protobuf, Thrift, и прочая. зачем из ужа ежа делать-то?
